In practice, connections can fail over time – such as a fall in pre-tensioning force or the screw unscrewing itself as a result of dynamic and static loads like vibrations or temperature changes.

This is why screw fasteners are an important quality consideration. We use a variety of screw fasteners, which prevent setscrews from loosening.
